What to Expect
The following is a breakdown of what customers can expect when starting a project with me with some explainations.
Discuss a project1
Meet
I like to listen to your ideas, look at any pictures you may have, etc. that may be helpful to describe how you envision the final product.
2
Feedback
Once I have a good picture of what you want, I will start giving some feedback and presenting some ideas for the project.
3
Budget
At the end of the day, I want you to be thrilled with the final product. If you are over budget, that is hard to make happen, regardless of the project itself. Some customers simply want the best at any cost, but most have limits and I can usually find the perfect balance between quality and price.
4
Measure
After we have a good idea of what the project will consist of, I will spend some time taking measurements and taking some pictures of the space to reference.
5
Quote
Next I will provide a detailed, itemized quote. I like to break down all the materials I will use and leave little to question on the price. I will also provide terms and an estimated turn-around time for the project.
6
Sketch
After we verbally agree on the price and moving ahead with the project, I will provide a sketch and/or rendering for the project which will bring everything together and give a good visual representation of the final product.
7
Finalize
Once the quote and sketch are agreed apon, it is time to finalize the contract with a deposit
8
Build
Next it's time to craft your custom piece. I will do everything I can to stay within the estimated time-frame. Timing will depend on the number of projects I have and the hours required for completion. I can provide incremental updates along the way.
